David Paul Haverland, 69, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport, Iowa, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 1:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, December 27th at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, Wisconsin, followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City with full military honors.

David was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on April 12, 1950 to Jerome and Dolores E. (McCauley) Haverland. He graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1968. Dave proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era.

Dave married Judith A. Steinbach on August 12, 1972, in Kieler, Wisconsin. He retired from John Deere, Davenport, after 35 years of service. Dave was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport.

In his early years, Dave played baseball until his knees gave out. He loved hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved his grandsons, hanging with family, having a few beers and letting the "BS" flow. #truestory

Dave is survived by his wife, Judy; a daughter, Jen (Aaron) Flynn of Davenport; two grandchildren, Broderick and Ethan Flynn; a sister, Mary (Bruce) Kruse, of Robins, IA; a brother, Gary (Susan) Haverland, of Hazel Green, WI; his in-laws, June Steinbach, of Davenport, JoAnn (Mike) McNett, of Cuba City, WI, John (Donna) Steinbach, Summerfield, NC, and Jeff (Deb) Steinbach, Eagle, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, numerous friends and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his parents-in-law Fred and Marian Steinbach.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project in his memory.
